Philosophy

The philosophy of UDE is built around the concept of the Onye isi oru, or architekton. These were among the names used for “Master Builder” in ancient societies. Unlike today, there was no separation of duties between an architect and a general contractor. Instead, there was a Master Builder who held the responsibility of planning, designing, and constructing a particular structure or city.

Our Process

If you’ve made it to this page, you’ve probably seen the text “Dream | Design | Develop” (More than a few times). This serves as a constant reminder that each of these areas are equally important in the creation process. It is imperative for us to fully understand your dream for the project as it ensures that we create a design that accurately reflects your vision. A well-drafted design will provide our tradesmen with the necessary details regarding the project’s construction as well as make it easier to communicate any changes after inception. Once the dream and design components are complete, focus shifts to the implementation of sound construction methods for developing the project to meet the highest of building standards.
